The BCWF’s Fish Habitat Restoration and Education Program invites you to join the 2022 Maple Ridge Fish Habitat Planting Workshop!

What you will learn:

Participants will gain hands-on experience in planting native species and removing invansive species in the riparian zone of Alouette River in Maple Ridge, BC. An abundance of different plant species will be available to plant, and the process of planting for longevity and high survival rates will be covered. There will also be opportunities for native and invasive plant identification, with the help of ID books and apps such as Seek by iNaturalist. During this 1-day workshop, participants will get to know members of Alouette River Management Society, tour their site, and learn the importance of a healthy riparian zone for native fish and wildlife prosperity.
